Margit Andersdotter was born on May 2, 1777 in Myskje, Soderala Parish, Gävleborg Lan, Sweden to Myssja Anders and Märta (Svensdotter) Anders. Gävleborg County is on the Baltic Sea coast of Sweden. Margit was married to Elinos Anders Anderson, and they had three children: Elinos Olaf Anderson, Matts Anderson, and Karin Anderson. She died on May 1, 1846.
