Elizabeth Crow was born on April 16, 1808 in Atkins, Smyth, Virginia to Thomas Crow and Mary Margaret Snavely. On February 13, 1827 she was married to George Musser in Wythe, Virginia. They stayed on in Wythe and had children David (1827), Anna Margaretta (June 20, 1829), Thomas (1831), Adam (1832), George (November 29, 1834), Sarah (1840), Mary Rachel (February 12, 1840), Ledy (1844), Joseph (1846), Franklin Jonas (1851), Martin (June 20, 1851), and Barbara (1852). Conflicting reports say that she may have been married to a William A. Calhoun in 1852, implying that her husband George died earlier than 1874. Elizabeth died June 26, 1890 in Smyth.
