Joseph Lawrence was born on October 21, 1801 in Quebec, Canada to parents Levi Lawrence and Abigail (Burdick) Lawrence. He was married to Lucy Rouse, and they had a daughter named Mary Ann Lawrence on November 25, 1830. Joseph passed away on October 19, 1841.
