Tobius Sullens Robertson was born on March 18, 1880 in Staffordsville, Virginia to Charles “Chas” Wesley Robertson and Elizabeth (Miller) Robertson. He was married to Barbara Josephine Musser, and they had a son, John Ray, on November 1, 1907. The family lived in Black Lick, Wythe, Virginia, for a time, then relocated to Dodge County, Nebraska. They are listed on the 1920 Federal Census living in Nickerson, Dodge, NE. Tobius died on December 28, 1920 of tuberculosis. He was buried at Hooper Cemetery in Hooper, Dodge County, Nebraska.
